We are looking for TWO people to come work with us on a new urban greenspace and health project!
The over £1million project is funded by Innovate UK and aims to develop an Urban Greenspace Valuation Toolkit (read more here!). The evidence based tool will provide practical appraisal and valuation to inform business and policy cases for urban greenspace investments. We are working in collaboration with Vivid Economics and Barton Willmore, a planning consultancy. The tool will be piloted in London.
The two posts are available immediately and will be based at the University of Exeter Medical School‘s ECEHH in sunny Cornwall. The successful candidates will work closely with Becca Lovell, Ben Wheeler, Mat White and Tim Taylor at ECEHH.
The application closing date is the 30/04/2018.
Role one: Fifteen month Postdoctoral Research Associate or Postdoctoral Research Fellow (depending on experience) in secondary data and/or GIS
The post will primarily involve the scoping, acquisition and analysis of secondary health, social and environmental datasets suitable to inform and contribute to the development and iterative refining of an urban greenspace valuation tool. You will need good quantitative skills and experience of using statistical methods and/or GIS and spatial data analysis.
Role two: Twelve month Postdoctoral Research Associate in evidence synthesis
This post will involve synthesising evidence relating to the health and social benefits of urban greenspaces, scoping and assessment of secondary data availability, preparation of an ethical submission, and the writing of reports and papers.
